Alberto's Biography
Born on October 8th, 1958 in El Fuerte, Sinaloa, Mexico. Since early age, I define my inclinations towards art, my surroundings, a small and humble typical Mexican town, these images gave me my first motives to express myself; a great river, abundant vegetation; the crops, the cobblestone streets, its main plaza, its colonial big houses and the people spirit.

Fulfilling me of reasons of which I free thru my paintings.

My backgrounds, my town, my family; with a poet as a grandfather, and a mother that used to transform the every day and common items into art items; they supported me, they understood me, they aimed me to meet my first teacher, the artist Raul Aguilar in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico(1970).

Later, I moved to the second largest city in Mexico, Guadalajara, Jalisco: My purpose was to continue my academic studies, at the same time to develop my first skills, painting, conducted by the prestiguous artist Jesus Posada (1973)

I graduated from the archictecture faculty of the University of Guadalajara being recogniced to represent the logo that identifies my generation 1978-1983.

The Combonian Seminary assigned me on the task of making the main image for their chapel, an interpretation of the "Virgin of Guadalupe" with all the abstract knowledge that this job needed (1983).

I traveled to the southeast part of Mexico, to research the mayan culture and its architecture, creating 18 oil paintings of the visual indentification of each mayan site, making this (investigation) my actual thesis of architecture, being exposed, as well, in Paris, and receiving a recognition (1985). A study journey begins in Vancouver, Canada where I create a logo sign for "Le Rail Car" Restaurant. I traveled to Cairo, Egypt, making graphic scketches of this culture; being Jerusalem next in turn where I studied the holly city (1989).

Afterwards, I decided to return to Mexico contributing master pieces to the art auction "La Escalera Galleria Cafe" in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. During this time I worked as architect.(1994).

Actually I live in a small peaceful community of Texas near to the border of Mexico and dedicate my whole time to art.
